Thanks Hi, I've been on plaquenil for about 5 months for Sjogren's and Lupus, and I havn't gotten any better from the illness symptoms but not any worse either..... I have not had an increase in colds, but it has not been effective in controlling my Lupus either. Thanks everyone, I got a reply from my primary physician and he said yes it can due to it suppressing your immune system and my rhumy said she has had no reported increase in flu's or colds. With an auto immune disease, you are more susceptible to catching colds.
